Civil Wars, 68-69. Forces of Galba in Spain. In the name of Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.54 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in Spain, 3 April-2nd half of June 68. Laureate head of Augustus to right. Rev. AVGVSTVS Capricorn to right, holding globe attached to rudder between front hooves and bearing cornucopiae on its back. BMC -, cf. 45-46 (bare head). Cohen (Augustus) -, cf. 21 (bare head). Gollnow & Rutten -, cf. 1153 (plated and bare head). Martin -, cf. A2 (bare head) and A3 (star instead of capricorn on the reverse). Nicolas -, cf. Somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
